The CM10 series is a family of low-cost dew point chilled mirror transmitters that is available in duct, wall or pipe mount configuration. The CM10 offers stable, accurate and repeatable measurements traceable to NIST. An NIST calibration certificate is included with the purchase of each CM10.
The CM10 employs chilled mirror technology a primary measurement using a fundamental principle to measure the dew point very accurately. Air flows over the CM10's internal mirror which contains circuitry to precisely control the mirror's temperature. The CM10 regulates the temperature of the mirror cooling it until a thin film of condensate forms on the mirror. The condensate is detected optically and a feedback control loop maintains the mirror at the precise temperature at which the condensate or dew forms. This temperature is then transmitted via the CM10's two user scaleable 4-20mA outputs. Each output is factory scaled for the CM10's operating range but the user can independently scale each output using the CM10's RS232 interface. User specified ranges may also be requested when ordering.
An air temperature option is available for the wall mount model. The air temperature option includes an external precision RTD probe. With this option one of the 4-20mA outputs is used for air temperature transmission.
Simple maintenance to cleaning the mirror requires using a wetted cotton swab to restore the transmitter to normal operation. Because of its construction, the customer can enjoy a long life of excellent performance.
