Remote Thermocouple Monitoring in the Cloud
Thermocouples are among the most widely used temperature sensors in industrial settings, known for their simplicity, reliability, and ability to measure a broad range of temperatures. They operate by measuring voltage differences generated at the junction of two dissimilar metals, which correspond to specific temperatures. Industries ranging from manufacturing to chemical processing rely on accurate and timely temperature data from thermocouples to ensure process safety, product quality, and operational efficiency.
Traditionally, monitoring thermocouples required on-site presence and manual data logging, presenting challenges in accessing real-time data and managing remote or hazardous locations. Remote thermocouple monitoring in the cloud addresses these challenges by enabling continuous data acquisition, real-time visibility, and instant alerts accessible from any location via the internet. However, implementing cloud-based monitoring introduces complexities such as securely transmitting sensor data, managing reliable network connectivity, and integrating diverse instrumentation with cloud platforms. Our pre-built remote thermocouple monitoring solutions simplify these complexities, providing seamless, secure, and reliable access to critical temperature data whenever and wherever it’s needed.
Solution #1 - Thermocouple + Logbox LTE + Novus Cloud

This solution combines thermocouples (in this case WTC 24 AWG but it will work with any thermocouple) the LogBox LTE and Novus Cloud for a flexible and reliable solution that can operate nearly anywhere that has a cellular network. The LogBox LTE can directly read from your thermocouple through one of it's two built in analog inputs and transmit the data through a cellular network to the Novus Cloud. The LogBox WiFi is also a datalogger that can store up to 140,000 records at a given time. What's special about this solution is IOThrifty packages a free sim card with 10 years of data along with the LogBox LTE. The Novus cloud also has a free 1 year subscription for it's most basic tier which includes remote monitoring, custom dashboards, basic reporting and alerting.

Solution #2 - Thermocouple + LogBox WiFi + Novus Cloud

This solution combines thermocouples (in this case WTC 24 AWG but it will work with any thermocouple) the LogBox WiFi and Novus Cloud for a reliable solution that works using your WiFi network. The LogBox WiFi can directly read from your thermocouple on one of it's 3 analog inputs and transmit the data through your WiFi Network to the Novus Cloud. The LogBox WiFi is also a datalogger that can store up to 140,000 records at a given time. The Novus cloud also has a free 1 year subscription for it's most basic tier which includes remote monitoring, custom dashboards, basic reporting and alerting.

Solution #3 - Thermocouple + FieldLogger + Novus Cloud

This solution combines thermocouples (in this case WTC 24 AWG but it will work with any thermocouple) the FieldLogger and Novus Cloud for a reliable solution that works using an ethernet connection. The FieldLogger can directly read from your thermocouple on one of it's 8 analog inputs and transmit the data through ethernet to the Novus Cloud. The FieldLogger is also a robust datalogger that can store up to 512,000 records at a given time on it's internal memory. The Novus cloud also has a free 1 year subscription for it's most basic tier which includes remote monitoring, custom dashboards, basic reporting and alerting.
