The response time of a dew point and humidity sensors depend on several factors including the air flow rate, the filter used and the sensor itself. Faster air flow rates will normally improve the response of the sensors. A filter can prevent impurities from affecting the sensor but also may slow the air flow and therefore slow the response time. For sensors like our RHT-CLIMATE we include the air flow and filter as part of the specification. Here is the response time specification for the RHT-CLIMATE : < 4 seconds (with air moving at 1 m/s and polyamide filter). Although this specification is for the RHT-CLIMATE is pretty typical for most dew point and humidity sensors.
