The short answer is “Yes”, but here are more details.
The FMT-25W may be ordered with either a transducer for small, medium or large pipes. The small transducers work with pipes with diameters 1 to 4 inches and the medium work with pipes with diameters 2-28 inches. So, either the FMT-25W with small or medium pipe size transducers will work on a 3-inch pipe.
The FMT-25W has a menu selection for pipes constructed from carbon steel, stainless steel, cast iron, ductile iron, copper, PVC, aluminum, fiberglass-epoxy. Other pipe materials may be used by entering material sound speed.
