The RS485 is bidirectional communication which can be used for setup or reading data. The user manual provides full details on all the registers needed for communication. You can download the user manual from the product page. We also provide free setup and data collection software which is also downloadable from the product page. The NP785 also has USB communication which can also be for configuration or reading data.
