Loop powered temperature transmitters are temperature transmitters in which the power and signal travel along the same set of wires. The power source and reading device would are connected in series with one another. The benefit of a loop powered transmitter is that fewer wires are needed to be connected from the transmitter back to the reading device and power source. Below is an example of the wiring for a typical loop powered transmitter.
