Yes the TC-CO1-K can be used to measure air temperature. This sensor is unique because of its fast response time(10-20milliseconds). If you don't need that fast of a response we have some other sensors that are not quite as fast responding but still fast and much less expensive. The iSur thermocouple has 100ms response and is one quarter of the price of the TC-CO1-K. This is just a suggestion.
